Happy lunches makes for Happy Hikers! We pack our backpacks with plenty of choices that are easy, not too messy, and nutritious. Remember, if they won’t eat it at home, they probably won’t eat it on the trail!
Try to pack food loaded with protein and good fats to keep our Happy Hike fully energized, without sacrificing any yummy deliciousness.
For even the shortest hike, be sure to provide plenty of water. This time we packed almond butter, honey & banana on whole wheat, trail mix, veggies, a Fiji apple and Gouda slices. Zip lock bags keep the load light.
