EVIT students who graduated from the Cadence Builds program in May are busy at work this summer with intern and summer job placement provided by Harvard Investments’ Teams. A.R. Mays Construction, The Ferraro Group, The Sieb Organization and others are keeping students working and learning on the job. From framing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, design, social media and construction management, all positions are paid and provide real world “resume-worthy” experience.

Victoria Luckey works at a summer job at The Sieb Organization. Her experiences include interacting with clients and fabricators plus assisting on video, photo shoots and other off-site projects. In fact, “Tori” will soon be creating posts for Cadence’s DIY Blog “CadenceCreates” – a natural fit as Tori is studying Fashion Design at EVIT and was a recent recipient of national recognition for her design work.

Another motivated EVIT design student, Madelynn Gaston, has been a valuable member of The Ferraro Group, a regional public relations and social media team working on Cadence. This summer Madelynn has been creating colorful media drops for Wet ‘n’ Wild Phoenix, designing a cap and gown covered in money, and financial literacy crafts for AZ 529 College Savings Program and assisting with new social media technology like Facebook 360. Additionally, Madelynn is writing a blog for Cadence on the best coffee shops in the East Valley.
