Numerous performing arts centers, spaces and theatres in Mesa and Queen Creek provide ongoing opportunities for the community to enjoy an evening of entertainment and witness the wealth of culture that surrounds us in the East Valley. What to expect: In the heart of Mesa, you’ll find a home to the arts where you can enjoy an evening of music, plays, musicals and even a local museum. Surrounded by colorful walls and striking architecture, the vibe of the Mesa Arts Center will help you to feel an appreciation for the beauty around you.

What to expect: Located on Queen Creek High School’s campus, the Queen Creek Performing Arts Center (QCPAC) has been providing entertainment in the East Valley for over a decade. From celebrity artists, high school plays and musicals, and professional dance performances there are countless ways to enjoy the arts at the QCPAC.

What to expect: Every year, the Higley Center for Performing Arts (HCPA) hosts several dance performances, community theater, and every December a performance of The Nutcracker. This performing arts center is where you will find many local performers and artists lighting up the stage eager to catch their big break.

What to expect: Mesa Community Colleges Performing Arts Center is a gorgeous new modern facility with a stellar reputation throughout the East Valley. Here you will find favorite musicals and plays portrayed in beautiful costume, sound and impeccable performances from youth to adults, novice and professionals. This performing arts center is also the place where the community college resides, which means you should be able to find an event celebrating the arts at least once a week.

What to expect: Tuscany Theatre partners with the group Actor’s Youth Theatre to provide opportunities for kids to learn acting, dancing and singing skills. Here you will be able to enjoy performances by smaller children, in a smaller theatre for a more personal experience. Any of the performances given at Tuscany Theatre will make you feel gratitude that places like this still exist!

What to expect: Hale Centre Theatre is one of the only theatres in the valley where you can enjoy a show “in the round,” meaning the stage is a circle with the audience surrounding the stage. At the Hale Centre Theatre you will feel like you are a part of the story line of the play or musical you are enjoying. There is always a show running so don’t worry about missing out on an opportunity! Located right in the heart of Downtown Gilbert it would make the perfect date night or a night out with the family.
