T.C. Eggingtons is one of our favorite brunch spots in the Valley, featuring award-winning family recipes and made-from-scratch breakfast items since 1985. Open from 6:30 a.m. until 2:20 p.m. on Mother’s Day; be sure to try the Red Hot Mamma Frittata, Strawberry Patch Smoothie, O’Pear Grenache Omelette, or Apple Jack Griddle Cakes. Sassy’s Café & Bakery Full-disclosure—they’re not open on Mother’s Day—but their breakfast is so good you should consider taking mom the Saturday before! They’re open Saturday from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. and serve their award-winning breakfast all day. Our favorite is the decadent Cinnamon Roll French toast and fresh- made daily Spinach Quiche. Say hi to co-owner Melody Larsen who was recently featured on Food Network.
4210 E. Main St. Mesa
The Farmhouse is one of the hottest weekend brunch spots and for good reason; they’ve been serving up some of the tastiest breakfasts in Gilbert for years. They don’t take reservations, it’s first come, first serve, but they do move the restaurant pretty quickly…and it’s worth the wait. Open 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Mother’s Day, they’ll be featuring an Eggs Benedict and Mimosa special in addition to their traditional menu favorites.

Hen House Café has two locations in Gilbert open 6:30 till 2 p.m. on Mother’s Day. The location at Gilbert Tuscany Village will feature a decadent Strawberry Cheesecake French Toast and Crab Cake Benedicts for mom to savor. They don’t take reservations, so arrive early, as this is a popular holiday and weekend brunch destination.

The farm-fresh, from-scratch breakfast menu at BLD in the The Shops at Pecos Ranch is another sure bet on Mother’s Day. Open at 8 a.m. and offering the full breakfast and lunch menu. BLD suggests the popular BLD breakfast burrito with their homemade short ribs, Hawaiian-Style French Toast with bananas and powdered sugar, or Green Chili Pork Tostada for mom. They offer a full kids menu and young guests will likely devour their signature Captain Crunch-Style French Toast while celebrating mom. No reservations are accepted, and they get busy on the weekends. Come early, be ready to wait a bit, but BLD proves that good things do come to those who wait.

Desert Canyon Shopping Center’s Classic Cooking Academy offers a delightful family experience on Mother’s Day. Owner Donna Dionot said their Chef will teach you and your guests how to create a delicious brunch in a fun, hands-on class where you learn to cook (and eat) a grilled watermelon salad, a cheesy spinach frittata, summer squash pancakes and strawberry shortcake.
