Arizona Commemorative Airforce Museum

If Dad’s an aviation buff, there’s no better place. If he’s not, young and old alike will still enjoy taking an edu-venture through history to learn how aircraft evolved as a heroic partner to ground and sea operations from WWI to present. Get up close and personal with history by climbing aboard bombers and cargo planes or, better yet, book a once-in-a-lifetime flight in an authentic warbird.

Rio Salado Sportsman’s Club Shooting Range

The club operates on 140 acres of land owned by the Arizona Game & Fish Department. The facility is well equipped and maintained, with range safety officers on duty and available to assist you. If it’s your first time, you’ll be instructed to watch a short safety video.

Joe’s Real BBQ

Let Dad fill his belly at Gilbert’s favorite cafeteria-style spot for barbecued ribs, chopped brisket & pulled pork, all smoked over pecan wood. Finish the meal with some tasty Sweet Potato Pie!

Located in a 1929 real brick building with a welcoming nostalgic decor, but there’s also a nice outside area with picnic tables if the temperatures are decent. Joe’s is a family-owned and operated restaurant. Read their history.

Treat Dad to the Father’s Day Brunch Buffet at San Tan Brewing Company 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Smoked turkey, beef brisket, breakfast food and homemade brews await at the original brewpub, located in the heart of Historic Downtown Chandler.
