For Jessica Etts, opening a neighborhood wine bar is a dream come true. She developed a passion for wine more than a decade ago and has since been introducing her favorite wines to family and friends.
Now she’s turning her passion into a business by opening Cork Crush Wine & Beer House, one of two new upscale restaurant bars coming to Arrival at Cadence, currently under construction at Ellsworth and Ray roads in Mesa.
Etts, who has lived in the area since 2016, jumped at the chance immediately when she learned national real estate developer Thompson Thrift Retail Group had space available at Arrival at Cadence.
“I was looking at the right time, when Arrival at Cadence was leasing,” she said in an East Valley Tribune article. “If I would have started looking two months later, I probably wouldn’t have been able to secure the space because they’re 100 percent leased, now.”
Cadence and East Mesa residents are eagerly awaiting the restaurant in one of the fastest-growing communities in the state.
Cork Crush Wine & Beer House will offer a relaxed atmosphere featuring fair prices and friendly faces. Wine will be featured by the glass, tasting flight and bottle to enjoy onsite or to go. Craft Beer and food appetizers will also be on the menu and the location feature a dog-friendly outdoor patio. Cork Crush can be found on Instagram and Facebook @CorkCrushAZ. The restaurant is scheduled to open in 2022.
According to Mesa Mayor John Giles, growth is accelerating in the Cadence at Gateway area.
