Land Planner Greey/Pickett awarded prestigious Gold Nugget Award of Merit for Best Community Land Plan
Harvard Investments, developers of Cadence at Gateway, announced the Pacific Coast Builders Conference’s 2020 Gold Nugget Awards have named Cadence and Greey/Pickett an Award of Merit. The annual competition honors industry excellence and draws international entries. Wendell Pickett, of the acclaimed Scottsdale-based land planning and landscape design firm Greey/Pickett, earned the Merit honors for Best Community Land Plan.
Located in Mesa, Arizona, Cadence at Gateway is an intimate community of just over 400 acres. Residents enjoy extraordinary community amenities, connected neighborhoods, abundant parks, sophisticated landscaping, and a trail system that seamlessly connects the walkable community.
Pickett said he is honored to receive the award.
“I viewed Cadence as an opportunity to provide something beyond the typical expectations of the market,” Pickett said. “We designed the community to be the best of the best, a place that will stand the test of time and look as good in 100 years as it does today.”
Now in its 57th year, GNA is the largest and most prestigious competition of its kind. The awards honor design and planning achievements in community and home design, green-built housing, site planning, commercial, retail, mixed-use development and specialty housing categories. Winners this year were chosen from 575 entries from around the world.
“Gold Nugget Award winners reflect our industry’s best, brightest and most innovative architects, planners and builder/developers,” said Judging Chairman and Gold Nugget ceremonies administrator Lisa Parrish. “We applaud them all.”
