In addition to our resident-only parks at Cadence, several exciting public parks that opened during the past year now surround our stunning community. These parks are for everyone, whether you want to be active or just enjoy time in the Arizona sunshine. Whatever your recreation goal, you do not want to miss these nearby amenities.
Mansel Carter Oasis Park – Queen Creek, AZ
The new Mansel Carter Oasis Park in Queen Creek, near Sossaman and Ocotillo roads about a 15-minute drive from Cadence at Gateway, was designed with all ages in mind. Enjoy the splash pad, inclusive playground or Sand Discovery Dig Zone. Take a stroll around the five-acre fishing lake that is surrounded by beautiful picnic ramadas. The park also has access to the Queen Creek Wash, which has walking, running and horseback-riding trails. Mansel Carter Oasis Park is equipped with an equestrian hitch. Surrounding the playground are four lighted baseball fields, two lighted multi-purpose fields, and a wheel-friendly skate park for all ages to enjoy.

Eastmark Great Park – Mesa, AZ
Directly across the street from Cadence at Gateway, Mesa offers an 89-acre park, built for the community. Experience lighted baseball fields, shaded splashpads and playgrounds, basketball and sand-volleyball courts, a climbing area called the Green Monster, and an extensive walking trail. It’s is also home to two dog parks, one for active dogs and the other for timid dogs. Walk over from Cadence on First Friday to enjoy free concerts in the amphitheater. Food trucks and various vendors from all over the Valley are available at these concerts, and the amphitheater is available to rent if you want to put on a concert of your own. Look for further developments on this park in 2020.

Gilbert Regional Park – Gilbert, AZ
Gilbert Regional Park, now in the early phases of development, will be the largest in the East Valley. The first phase recently opened and those in the community are excited about future additions. The park is home to a 17-foot-tall play structure with three levels for adventurous climbing, large splash pad that is perfect for any age and tot playground that is perfect for younger children to explore. This park is approximately 20 minutes from Cadence at Gateway. Plans include development of a 25-acre water park, pickleball and tennis courts and large amphitheater.

Desert Sky Park, less than 15 minutes from Cadence at Gateway, is the newest community park in the area. Phase 1 opened in November, 2019. The park includes a fitness-centered recreation space, which is the first of its kind. There are four lighted multi-use fields and a lake to walk around. Development will continue over the next several years.
