Queen Creek Schools Fall 2020 Update

A new school year fast approaches and schools across the country are prepping for their students to return during the COVID-19 global pandemic. For Queen Creek Unified School District (QCUSD) the school year will begin shortly with students returning to the classroom amongst several precautions in place for students to remain safe and healthy while maintaining their school and classroom culture.

QCUSD is focused on the safety of their students and staff and in a diligent effort to maintain that safety the QCUSD schools will now be implementing the following:

  • Increased number of hand sanitizing stations
  • High-touch surfaces being sanitized throughout the day
  • Intensive cleaning, disinfection and ventilation
  • Signage displaying hygiene and sanitation best practices
  • Minimizing the number of students in common areas
  • Limit the use of shared materials when appropriate
  • Additional training for employees on healthy and safety

In regards to face masks, they will not be required and the choice is up to the parents if you would like your student to wear one during the school day. Parents are also responsible for determining their child’s health before arriving to school and keeping their child home if they exhibit any symptoms of illness.

The QCUSD is heading into the 2020-2021 academic school year with optimism. Because of the nature of COVID-19 and the circumstantial changes that it can cause, please reference the QCUSD website to stay up to date.
