Talk about pathways to success! Cadence’s adjacent high school – Eastmark High School – officially opens in July 2019 and is within walking distance of each Cadence at Gateway home. It’s the newest high school in the Queen Creek Unified School District and has a master planned campus of over 60 acres, providing ample space to grow with the community.

The school is now enrolling for grades 7-10. To register a student, go to Gateway Polytechnic Academy located at 5149 S. Signal Butte Rd. in Mesa.

A unique part of Eastmark High School is that it will feature Career Path Academies. Principal Paul Gagnon, an established education leader in the district, said, “The goal of the school is to allow students to take classes that will directly relate to their chosen career fields. While in these classes on campus, our hope is to provide students at this school and the current Queen Creek High School with the right exposure that they’ll see in college and their future career paths.”

Some of the Career Path Academies include:

STEM: Apple coding, computers science, computer maintenance, computer networking, engineering

MASH: biomedical science, medical professions, CAN, medical records technology

FAME: digital photography, film and tv, graphic design

BLIS: AVID, financial services, JROTC leadership and education training (LET), marketing

In addition to the Career Path Academies, the school will offer A-rated academics, top-notch athletics and fine arts. There will be spaces dedicated to STEM, Fine Arts, Health and Human Services, Business and Leadership as well as athletic fields.

Students will have access to a variety of sport options designed for student-athletes at all levels. QCUSD also encourages students at all grade levels to participate and strengthen their skills in the arts. Offerings for the 2019-2020 school year will include choirs, bands, orchestras, guitar, dramatic arts and visual arts.
