More than half of all homebuyers with children under 18 years of age rate the quality of the local school district as a major factor influencing their choice of a neighborhood, according to the latest National Association of Realtors’ Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers. At Cadence at Gateway we understand that access to quality education is paramount, and being part of a high performing school district benefits all our residents — even if they don’t have kids.

Dozens of Top Performing Schools Within Five Miles

That’s why we’re happy to report there are over a dozen high-quality schools less than five miles away, including high-performing public, private and charter options. Additionally, Cadence at Gateway is part of the Queen Creek Unified School District, which encompasses 46 square miles, and is one of the top-ranked districts in Arizona. All of its schools— elementary, middle school and high school – continually earning A or B ratings from the Department of Education.

A-Rated District

Queen Creek Unified is one of only nine districts graded “A” by the Arizona Department of Education for four consecutive years. Its nearly 7,500 students score well above the state average in all areas of math and English language arts.

The district’s goals are to inspire and empower each student to achieve excellence in all pursuits, embrace social and individual responsibility, and lead with integrity. This is achieved through a challenging and comprehensive curriculum which meets the needs of all students, provided by distinguished professionals in partnership with district families and the surrounding community.

On-Site School

In response to this stellar reputation, Cadence at Gateway has set aside land for an on-site Queen Creek Unified District school. This comprehensive school will carry on the district’s dedication to providing a challenging learning experience for students in a caring, supportive environment.

Additionally, Cadence residents have the option to attend a Queen Creek District high school right across the street from our development. Cadence teens will be able to walk, bike or skateboard to this brand new high school, which offers rich elective and extra-curricular activities to students and families.

Community Involvement at QCUSD

Queen Creek Unified has the support of a host of partners from business, civic, social, philanthropic, and education organizations that help provide opportunities for their students on an annual basis. They’ve partnered with the following organizations to provide staff and students the opportunity to contribute to our community: Feed Our Starving Children, Bench the Bag, Buddy Bench, Relay for Life, Jump Rope for Heart, and House of Refuge. In addition, the staff and students are regularly involved in canned food drives, fun runs, Christmas angels, and toy drives.

These initiatives bring together many partners to offer a range of opportunities and support to children, youth, families, and communities. Students enter school ready to learn and graduate as capable learners, workers, and citizens.

The location of Cadence at Ray and Ellsworth roads is ideal for families searching for quality education and for residents who care about a responsible, committed community.
